Lynne Graham. The Desert Bride. New York: Harlequin, 1996.
Fiery redhead Bethany Morgan travels to the exotic Middle Eastern country of Datar in order
to conduct important academic research. Unfortunately, as soon as she steps foot in the country, she
is detained and told that her visa is invalid. In desperation, she tells the airport security
personnel that she personally knows the Crown Prince Razul. Indeed, she met him two years ago
when the two were in college in England, but back then she hadn't been able to
handle such a proud, passionate man.
Soon after this declaration, Bethany is swiftly transported to the royal palace and
comes face to face with Razul al Rashidai Harun, the man responsible for luring her
to Datar by ensuring that her research project would be funded. However, by
renewing her "close" acquaintance with Razul to prevent deportation, he demands that she become his wife!
Though she is given the chance to leave Datar, she decides to stay and weds the desert prince,
thinking that the marriage is only temporary for the summer.
But will her heart allow her to leave once
their "arrangement" is over?
