Sophie Weston. The Sheikh's Bride. New York: Harlequin, 2000.
Leonora Groom and Sheikh Amer el-Barbary meet in Cairo, and have a spectacular date under
the stars. The next day, however, Leonora is forced to leave Cairo, by
the order of her over-protective father.
Unable to find Leonora, Amer reacts by writing a mocking guide to being a fantasy lover, which
outlines their night together, his
experience of losing her, and his plan to seduce her again.
Leonora finds out about this essay, and before long she is engaged to another man. Will she
and Amer be able to resolve their feelings
for each other and determine if they've been playing a game, or if they are really
in love?
