Laura Wright. A Bed of Sand. New York: Silhouette, 2004.
Rita Thompson announces that she is getting married, but doesn't bother to invite the groom--her
boss, Sheikh Sakir Al-Nayhalm--to his own wedding. In fact, Rita has concocted the
whole scheme in an attempt to successfully reunite her alienated family. And everything goes according
to plan...until she sees Sakir standing at the altar waiting for her!
As it turns out, Sakir has a proposal of his own for the blushing bride. He wants Rita to
be his wife for three weeks in his home country of Emand. After that, they would dissolve
the union. There would be no touching, no kissing...and certainly no taking possession
of her delectable body.
But there are some vows a man finds it impossible to keep.
Read more about how their pretend wedding became the real thing!
